Our Ph.D. program is fully funded. Students admitted to the Ph.D. program may initially be offered up to 4 years of financial support, but the support is extended through the accomplishment of the degree, which usually takes 4-6 years.
Most Ph.D. students at UC Merced are supported by a combination of fellowships, teaching assistantships, research assistantships and faculty training grants. There are a variety of resources for funding a graduate education, both internal and external.
