Tenure-Track Position (Assistant Professor)
The Mechanical Engineering (ME) program at the University of California, Merced invites applications for one tenure-track position (Assistant Professor). Outstanding candidates with research interest in (but not limited to) renewable energy, food generation/transportation/processing/security/safety, waste-to-energy systems, water technology, and intelligent food, energy, and water systems (FEWS) are encouraged to apply. A doctoral degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required at time of employment.

Open Rank Tenured or Tenure-Track Position
The Mechanical Engineering (ME) program at the University of California, Merced invites applications for one open rank tenured or tenure-track position. Applications are especially encouraged from individuals with research interest in the general area of thermal-fluid sciences. This includes (but is not limited to) reacting flows, RANS/LES/DNS, thermo-fluids based energy generation or storage processes, thermal transport or lubricating fluids, radiative heat transfer, heat transfer in extreme conditions, heat transfer in advanced manufacturing and materials processing, solar thermal energy and reactors, energy efficient processes based on thermodynamics and heat transfer, or thermal management. A doctoral degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field is required at time of employment
