Marie-Odile Fortier

Assistant Professor
SE2 386
Research Interests:

Modeling emerging energy systems and climate change mitigation strategies and studying their environmental impacts using life cycle assessment (LCA). Developing methodology for LCA practice.

To address questions: What are we missing from the way that we currently assess life cycle environmental impacts and how can we address these issues? How do the climate change impacts of novel renewable energy systems compare to our current systems, and how do geographic and temporal variables affect these impacts? How are the life cycle climate change impacts of the materials we need for the energy transition changing?
